According to at least one Indiana doctor, the fact that CBD is still not legal in the State of Indiana is “Ridiculous and irrational.”

Former Indiana state health commissioner and Indianapolis physician, Dr. Richard Feldman, may be a bit of a lone voice. However, he is determined to reverse Attorney General Curtis Hill’s position, which is to keep CBD illegal in the State.

Dr. Feldman’s piece in the Kokomo Tribune was enlightening, as he spoke about the difference between CBD and recreational cannabis. He also listed a number of medical issues that he claims can be treated with CBD, such as acne, depression, and anxiety disorders.

Feldman isn’t the only doctor who is for CBD, as numerous other studies show it to be effective in treating pain and inflammation, opioid addiction, heart disease, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and cancer.

Dr Feldman wrote that, “the illegality of CBD oil is ridiculous and irrational, solely stemming from the fact it is derived from cannabis.” He added that, to his mind, CBD should be classed a herbal remedy in the holistic section of the Health Food Store, and nothing more. Feldman concluded, “What’s all this fear and loathing about? If people think CBD helps them, let them use it legally.”
