Blue lotus gummies: The latest product to make waves in the psychedelics market.

If you’ve been curious about trying blue lotus, like many of us have, you should definitely check out the new blue lotus gummies from Galaxy Treats. Delicious, potent, and affordable, this product is a great way to see what all the hype about. After all, blue lotus has been used for thousands of years, so there must be something to it! Let’s take a closer look at both the plant, and this exciting new product.

What is blue lotus?

Blue lotus, also known as Nymphaea caerulea or Egyptian water lily, is an aquatic flowering plant with great historical significance, esteemed in many cultures for its beauty and medicinal properties. Although it hails from the shallow, muddy waters of the Nile River in Egypt, it has spread to a few other regions and can be found in other parts of Africa as well as parts of Asia and even as far as Australia and South America.

In ancient Egyptian mythology, the blue lotus flower was viewed as a symbol of spirituality and rebirth, and it was used in several different healing practices and shamanic rituals. It’s been used for thousands of years to treat anxiety, depression, insomnia, and inflammation. It has also been utilized in aromatherapy to improve mood and encourage lucid dreaming.

Starting around the 14th century B.C., blue lotus played a crucial role in mourning rituals. It was one of the key ceremonial plants used by ancient Egyptians during their funeral processions. Additionally, due to the unique beauty of this flower, it has been widely depicted in Egyptian art, hieroglyphics, and other artifacts.

Today, blue lotus is increasingly being used by cannabis and psychedelics industry companies who are infusing it into smoking blends and gummies. For example, a growing number of hemp producers are offering “dressed” pre-rolls, which are rolled in blue lotus petals, or they are extracting the active compounds and making gummies and other products. It’s still lesser known than other psychoactive plants, and the effects aren’t as strong as the more widely used hallucinogens like psilocybin or mescaline, but due to its legal status and ability to induce relaxation, it has seen a mild surge in popularity over the last few years.

Effects, benefits, and legality

How blue lotus makes you feel depends largely on the dose consumed. At low doses, it’s said to be really chill and relaxing whereas high doses can produce MDMA-like effects. So, while it’s safe to say that you shouldn’t expect a true psychedelic trip with visuals and other sensory hallucinations, blue lotus can still produce very fun and therapeutic experiences.

There are a few different active compounds in blue lotus, but the ones to really take note of are apomorphine and nuciferene. Apomorphine is a psychoactive alkaloid that has been proven to have positive effects on mood, cognition, and problems with addiction. Like many other plant-based alkaloids, apomorphine interacts with vital neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which is why it exhibits such powerful effects over state of mind and feelings of pleasure. Early research suggests that apomorphine may be effective in the treatment of depression and anxiety, as well as insomnia and schizophrenia.

The other compound of interest, nuciferine, is believed to be responsible for the calming and relaxing effects of blue lotus. Nuciferine also works via serotonin and dopamine receptors, and studies indicate that it may have therapeutic potential as an antipsychotic drug. This is because the nuciferine receptor profile is similar to clozapine, which is one of the most prescribed and effective antipsychotic drugs currently on the market. What’s more, one of nuciferine’s metabolites, atherosperminine, might be able to help treat drug, alcohol, and tobacco use disorders.

It’s also worth mentioning that secondary compounds found in the plant can be beneficial in many ways also. For example, flavonoids from blue lotus flowers such as quercetin, kaempferol, and myricetin, have promising antioxidant activity and cancer-fighting properties.

Despite all this promise, blue lotus is currently not approved for human consumption in the United States, nor is it regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, it is NOT scheduled under the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) controlled substances act, so it can be sold legally in most states, but it cannot be promoted for use in treating specific ailments.

New blue lotus gummies from Galaxy Treats

While many products focus on utilizing the raw flower in some form, our friends at Galaxy Treats decided to create blue lotus gummies that are infused with the flower’s active compounds, as well as some other fun ingredients such as Calea zacatechichi (dream herb) and even HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) in one of the varieties.

The gummies come in two different flavors/blends – Blue Bliss and Purple Abyss – both of which come with 20 pieces per jar. The Blue Bliss gummies contain a total of 3500 mg of active ingredients, broken down into 3000 mg of blue lotus and 500 mg of Calea zacatechichi (150 mg and 25 mg per gummy, respectively). The Purple Abyss gummies are a bit stronger, with 3800 mg of blue lotus, 500 mg of Calea zacatechichi, and 300 mg of HHC (190 mg, 25 mg, and 15 mg each).

This is a new product so the reviews are limited, but so far what’s been said about them is positive. It seems the general consensus is that the effects of these gummies are mellow, relaxing, and overall enjoyable. Please check back for my full product review shortly, after I get a chance to test these out for myself.

About the company

Galaxy Treats is an alternative cannabinoid brand that offers a variety of edibles and other infused products. They have a wide selection of delta 9 THC, HHC, THCO, and THCP products, as well as some recently added “psychedelics“, including amanita muscaria and, of course, blue lotus. Their mission is to “offer adults a delicious, high-quality and enjoyable way to relax, unwind, and chill with 100% hemp-derived products, which are available in a wide variety of flavors and cannabinoids.”

All Galaxy Treats products are manufactured in the United States, third-party lab-tested by an accredited lab, made from industrial hemp, and contain only the highest quality ingredients. The result is what many consumers have rated as some of the highest-quality and best-tasting edibles on the market!

Me personally, I get bored of the same fruit flavored gummies like grape and strawberry. I’m a sucker for unique flavors, and Galaxy Treats has many to choose from including Blue Razz Blast, Chile Lime Watermelon, Pluto’s Punch, Starberry, and Mars Mango.

Why you need to try these blue lotus gummies

Well, why not? Blue lotus is something to get excited about whether you’re new to psychedelics and looking for something mild to dip your toes in, so to speak; or if you’re an experienced tripper who wants to try something different with as much cultural and spiritual significance as psilocybin, mescaline, and other entheogens.

As a psychonaut who prefers all-natural substances, I’ve been eager for a chance to experiment with blue lotus, especially after hearing that high doses produce MDMA-like effects. So naturally, I was thrilled to get my hands on these gummies. While the gummies do have a combination of compounds, not blue lotus exclusively, they have enough that you can get a good idea of how it would feel on its own.

What’s great about trying it in gummy form is the convenience and ease of use you get with edibles. You can keep track of dosing relatively well, they’re discreet and you can take and use them pretty much anywhere (as opposed to sparking up a blue lotus-wrapped joint, which you cannot do in public), and they come at a great price, less than $1 per gummy regardless of which variety you choose!

Bottom line, it’s a great product that you should definitely add to your list. If you’ve tried them already, drop us a line in the comment section below and let us know what you thought. We love to hear from our readers!
