Moon Rocks may have been one small step for man, but they’re also one giant leap for mankind.
CBD Moon Rocks are a relatively new product, but they’re also extraordinary. If you’ve ever seen one, you know it’s pretty obvious how they got their name. They really do look a lot like pebbles you’d expect to find if you went for a stroll on the moon. The cannabis version (which is heavy in THC) could even make you think you are walking on the moon; they’re that strong. However, right now we’re taking a closer look at the cannabidiol variety.

What are Moon Rocks?
Moon Rocks are a sublime concoction of different elements of the cannabis plant. Also known as “Cannabis Caviar” by some people, Moon Rocks are dense little nugs of cannabis or hemp buds, dipped in potent concentrate and then rolled in kief (the dusty crystals from buds). Cannabis Moon Rocks contain very high, concentrated amounts of THC and are only recommended for seasoned users. CBD Moon Rocks are made from the CBD hemp buds, offering immediate and potent effects (but they don’t get you high or stoned.)
Who Invented Moon Rocks?
There’s much controversy over this question and the answer to it isn’t clear. While some people claim someone in Amsterdam invented them many moons ago, others claim they were created by rapper Kurupt in 2014, along with his buddy, Dr. Zodiak. There are also different versions of Moon Rocks, apart from just the cannabis and hemp varieties. Some Moon Rocks contain base ingredients that are stronger than others, so there are quite a few choices around. Cannabis Moon Rocks made from lower THC strains will be less potent than those using stronger strains. This also applies to the oil they are rolled in and the kief that dusts them.
Cannabis Vs. CBD Moon Rocks
Just in case you were still wondering, there’s a massive difference between cannabis Moon Rocks and CBD Moon Rocks. Cannabis Moon Rocks contain what can only be described as “extreme THC concentrations.” People typically use such Moon Rocks in certain situations and usually when they have nothing to do for the rest of the day. Considering that most top-shelf cannabis strains contain around 15-25 percent THC, cannabis Moon Rocks contain more than 50 percent!
CBD Moon Rocks, on the other hand, offer a different experience entirely. As there’s no THC in the mix, they provide large amounts of the medicinal and relaxing cannabinoids but without the high. When you consider that some Moon Rocks contain around 50 percent cannabidiol concentration, you can understand why they are the go-to solution for some people want something more.
Benefits of CBD Moon Rocks
CBD Moon Rocks are perfect for people who need fast and effective relief from their medical ailments or issues. People often use CBD Moon Rocks to treat things like panic attacks, depression, inflammation, and pain – but of course, with a product like this that’s new and considered more recreational in nature, there are no official statements on their health benefits.
As Moon Rocks are smoked or vaporized, they enter the bloodstream within minutes via the lungs. This is different from edibles, which can take up to three hours to reach their peak due to digestion via the stomach. They’re a great option for someone who wants something a bit stronger than traditional flowers.
Are CBD Moon Rocks Right for You?
While most people have heard of oil and vape juice, Moon Rocks are a bit more obscure and are also not so easy to get for everyone. Unless you live in a state where cannabis and CBD are legal, and you visit a top-quality dispensary, you’ll be hard pressed to find decent CBD Moon Rocks. Some companies do sell them online, and they have some excellent reviews, but you need to do your due diligence to find the right Moon Rocks for you.
If you’re new to the world of cannabidiol, Moon Rocks should probably not be your first port of call, and you should try some oil tinctures or vaping devices first to figure out your correct dosing. If you are a seasoned CBD user, Moon Rocks are well worth a try, especially during the times where you just need that little bit extra.
