Next week, the Mexican city of Guadalajara will host CannabiSalud, the first Latin American conference for health professionals looking to learn about medical cannabis opportunities.
Unlike other medical cannabis conferences in the region, CannabiSalud is a two-day conference specifically geared towards medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, therapists, and pharmacists. The event will cover areas like genomics, regulation, history, terpenes, the Endocannabinoid System, products, research, and a whole lot more. As a conference aimed at Medical Professionals, a big part of the event will deal with the benefits of using Cannabis for patients suffering from various medical conditions, such as autism, cancer, pain, epilepsy, psychosis, as well as a whole host of other conditions.
For Mexico, which is currently in the process of regulating the medical use of Cannabis, this event allows local doctors to be introduced to the benefits of using cannabis for medical use. Last December, the Mexican Senate approved the use of cannabis-based products and currently, it is the job of the Department of Health to design and execute public politics to regulate the use of cannabis products. At the end of the regulation process, products with less than 1% THC will be able to be commercialized, exported and imported.
The speakers presenting at CannabiSalud 2017 are world-renowned doctors, scientists, and researchers from different parts of the globe.
Among the list of distinguished speakers were Dr. Luis Manuel Espinosa Castillo, Vice President of the Medical Association of Jalisco, Dr. Daniela Vergara, Director of the Agricultural Genomics Foundation, Dr. Michael Dor, Medical Head Advisor of the Medical Cannabis Unit for the Israeli Ministry of Health, Dr. Donald Land, Chief Scientific Consultant at Steep Hill and many others
The event, organized by Concentrate USA, will take place in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, on 2-3 June 2017.
