Could CBD Be The Next Miracle Cure For Hair Loss?

Men around the world have been struggling with hair loss for millennia. Many so-called ‘miracle cures’ have come and gone, but could CBD be the solution?

Due to being rich in fatty acids – Omega 3 and 6 – hemp seeds also contain good amounts of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin E. These minerals are thought to be great for skin and hair and are used in many skin care and hair products on the market today. Hemp seeds also contain high and balanced levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is also fatty acids which promote hair growth.

CBD – which is derived from both hemp and cannabis – has already proven itself as being a natural and effective treatment for a wide range of conditions. People use CBD for anxiety as a ‘Rescue Remedy.’ Others use it as a sleep aid as it regulates the Endocannabinoid System in humans. CBD is also used for pain, arthritis, MS, Dravet’s Syndrome and a host of other mild and more severe health conditions. But how could CBD help when it comes to going bald?

You can find CBD infused into many things these days – from coffee to chocolate. There is also a wide range of CBD-infused hair products that claim to be able to slow down hair loss and leave the scalp and hair looking alive and invigorated. Topical CBD oils applied to the scalp can be effective as a daily treatment according to some.

Get a healthy scalp and hair with CBD

While each strand of hair is comprised of different components, with the root being under the skin, all of these components contain around 90 percent keratin. Keratin needs a good dose of vitamins and minerals to work to its full capacity and CBD has just what the hair needs.

Studies have been carried out with conclusions that CBD oil can reduce inflammation for conditions like psoriasis and eczema. It was soon after these studies were published when people in the hair loss industry took a sudden interest in CBD. The scalp is full of toxins and inflamed cells that affect healthy hair growth.

That’s why a head massage is one of the best ways to stimulate hair growth. CBD adds to this by moisturizing the skin and hair and depositing fatty acids and minerals into them. CBD is also considered safe and free from any chemicals that could damage the hair.

While the full benefits of CBD for hair loss are still being studied, some people already use it for that purpose. Due to being nutrient-filled, CBD could be something that helps people with hair loss in the future. It’s also likely that if the current trend of positive press about CBD continues, it could become legal globally. If that happens, it won’t be long before consumers could start seeing CBD on the ingredients list of their favorite shampoo or conditioner alongside other minerals and vitamins.

Hari, owner of Hari’s Haidressers – a chain of high-end hair salons in the UK – told reporters that he has had some positive feedback from clients who tried CBD hair products. “CBD increases blood circulation; therefore when used in our in-salon, Hari’s CBD Life Force Hair Treatment, it promotes hair growth and healthy hair production,” he said according to an MSN report. “In addition, the CBD Oil balances sebum production so it’s great for both oily and dry or problem scalps helping to address a variety of hair and scalp complaints.”

Even though the jury is out for now regarding the scientific connection between hair loss and CBD, it won’t be a big surprise if the conclusions drawn are positive. CBD seems to be helping so many people with a wide range of issues and hair care may be next on the list.
