Pick The Perfect Medical Cannabis Vaporizer (Flowchart)

Written by Corre Addam

As a medical marijuana patient, you may have been told that vaporizing is a great alternative to smoking. Vaporizing doesn’t raise the temperature of your marijuana to combustion which means carbon monoxide levels are significantly lower than smoking it

And that’s a good thing!

Not only does vaporizing provides health benefits, but it smells less than smoking and the flavor through a good vaporizer is outstanding. We’re not knocking smoking, it’s still a great way to consume cannabis, but it’s about time you try a vaporizer if you haven’t already.

Okay, so you’re sold. What’s next? Now you need to pick one.

If you look back 10 years ago it was easy to pick a vaporizer. You really only had a couple choices: an ugly box looking vaporizer that sat on your table or a super expensive Volcano.
Now you have options—there are over a hundred brands of weed vaporizers available—which can make it really tough to pick one.

Lucky for you, our friends at Vaporizers Direct designed a flowchart to make picking a vaporizer far easier.

Just start at the top and work your way down to find the right one for you, desktop vaporizer or portable vaporizer. There are just a few things you should keep in mind if you’re a complete beginner to vaporizers:

  1. You have to choose between a portable unit and desktop. Portable vaporizers can move with you, while desktop vaporizers stay plugged in at home. Desktop units usually provide better vapor quality but are less convenient. Many people who vaporize have both a desktop and portable unit.
  2. These vaporizers can all handle herb, but not all of them can handle concentrates or oils. If you want to vaporize CBD oil for example, make sure you pick one that can handle concentrates. It’s an option as you move down the flowchart.
  3. “Vaping through glass” means attaching a bubbler or bong to your vaporizer to filter it even further. It’s a fantastic experience but not necessary if you’re a beginner to vaping.
That’s pretty much it. If you have any questions let us know in the comments below. Have fun picking your perfect vaporizer!
