Do you suffer from some type of headache; be it migraines, tension headaches, cluster headaches, or something else? If so, 1937 Wellness has the product for you.

Me personally, I’ve been dealing with migraines since my late teen years and they can be unbearable and completely debilitating. I used to take Excedrin whenever I felt one coming on because it was literally the only thing that worked to get rid of it. However, there are multiple reasons why that turned out to be a bad idea. That being said, I had to find a more natural alternative to switch to and quick. Luckily I found this amazing CBD Temple Tonic from 1937 Wellness.

Complications From Acetaminophen Overuse

Acetaminophen overuse can lead dangerous complications

For starters, pregnant women can’t take Excedrin. The active ingredients are a combination of acetaminophen, caffeine, and aspirin – all substances that are supposed to be drastically limited during pregnancy. Furthermore, overuse of Excedrin leads to a condition known as “rebound headaches”. What this means is: you get a headache, you take some Excedrin, a few days later your headache “rebounds” and comes back, you take more Excedrin, and the cycle continues. After a while, your body gets used to the medication, the headaches “rebound” more frequently, and you need more and more medication to keep them at bay.

And this takes us to the third issue, liver and kidney damage. It sounds scary, and that’s because it truly is. A 2005 study published in “Hepatology” determined that overuse of acetaminophen (one of the active ingredients in Excedrin, and also Tylenol and many other OTC pain medications), can cause acute liver failure.  Another study published just last year found that there is a risk of acute kidney injury related to acetaminophen.

Something More Natural

CBD Temple Tonic is a natural alternative to OTC medications

Aside from the obviously natural, plant derived CBD (cannabidiol), the 1937 Wellness CBD Roll On Temple Tonic utilizes many other natural oils and extracts in its formulation. According to Dr. Sanam Hafeez, PsyD, founder and clinical director of Comprehensive Consultation Psychological Services, research shows essential oils can definitely help with various headaches.

“It is believed that certain oils such as peppermint relax muscles and relieve pain when massaged into the temples. It may also be the added benefit of massage itself — the application of the rollerball over your temples, in this case — [releases] stress that reduces the tension causing the headache.”

Hafeez continued to add that “CBD [in the rollerball] works with localized endocannabinoid receptors to either revert neurochemical release back to appropriate levels or reduce headache-inducing inflammation in acute muscles, tissues, and blood vessel networks.” Multiple studies can back up this claim, such as this one from 2017 and a more recent one from 2018.
