CBD hemp flowers are the dried buds of hemp plants. Grown legally by licensed hemp farmers, hemp flowers have been developed to offer high levels of CBD and negligible levels of THC (less than 0.3% in the U.S. and 0.2% in most of Europe). Although it’s CBD oil that is grabbing all the headlines, CBD hemp buds are becoming more popular by the day.

What is CBD oil?

Basically, oils that contain concentrations of CBD are known as CBD oils. They usually consist of varying amounts of CBD, as well as a base oil (or carrier oil). This base oil – often hemp seed oil, MCT oil, or another common oil – helps deliver the CBD to your bloodstream, as CBD doesn’t absorb very efficiently by itself.
CBD oil can be formulated in varying concentrations, the most common being between 3% and 40% potency. It can be administered sublingually (under the tongue), topically (via the skin), or added to food and drink.

Price

Prices, quality and CBD content of both products vary drastically. If you’re looking at a high-quality product, no doubt it will be relatively pricey. When buying oil, full-spectrum would be preferred, while CBD hemp flower buyers should make sure the flowers were grown organically and without the use of pesticides.

Effectiveness

Again, much of the effectiveness of either will be down to the quality of the oil or flower. As flowers are unprocessed, they are guaranteed to have a full profile of cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and many other unique compounds. CBD in oils may not be from whole-plant extractions.

Versatility

While oils can be used in a variety of different ways, as mentioned earlier, CBD hemp flowers are even more versatile. Ideal for vaping, smoking, cooking with, making tinctures from, hemp buds can be used in numerous creative ways.

Safety

CBD itself is incredibly safe. As such, both CBD oil and hemp flowers have high safety profiles. Of course, smoking any dried herb is not optimal for health. Vaporization is recommended.
