How To Choose The Best Pre-Rolled CBD Joints

Some people want to feel the medicinal effects of CBD but don’t have the time or patience for the hassle that comes with it. Pre-rolled CBD joints are an excellent solution for this issue, but not all CBD joints are equal.

There are those among us who like nothing more than the ritualistic rigmarole that comes with rolling joints. There’s the satisfying sound of the grinder crushing up that frosty bud. Then, there’s the rolling of the joint, as one tries to fashion the perfect cone that burns evenly throughout. And while there’s a lot to be said for that ritual that so many folks enjoy, some simply do not. That’s where pre-rolled CBD joints come into play, and they’re widely available across many countries in Europe as well as North America.

Those who are new to CBD may be needing quick relief from their pain, insomnia, or anxiety issues. They don’t have time to start buying papers and grinders and tearing filters to precisely the right size. Besides, rolling a good joint that burns properly isn’t a simple feat and takes much patience and practice.

To take care of this niche, coffeeshops, and dispensaries pre-roll joints (either regular cannabis or CBD flowers.) Pre-rolls are usually sold separately or in boxes of three. They are also highly convenient and can be shared between friends, but there’s an issue. When you roll your own joints, you know exactly what’s inside; with a pre-roll, you don’t.

The main problem here is that it’s more cost-effective for dispensaries to put the lowest grade stuff inside their pre-rolls, knowing that most people won’t complain or even notice. Ideally, pre-rolls should come from freshly ground CBD flowers.

Unless you trust the vendor, there’s no way of knowing what’s in a pre-roll before you buy it

However, some less than scrupulous dispensaries and online vendors will include things like leaves, stalks, and even seeds in the joints to save time and money. That makes for a substandard and harsh smoking or vaping experience and needs to be avoided. When purchasing pre-rolled CBD joints, always double check that it’s only CBD flower inside and nothing else.

The other issue to consider is that pre-rolled joints in some countries in Europe, especially the Netherlands, are often made with a 50/50 mix of cannabis flowers (or CBD) and tobacco. This is in line with the preferred European way of smoking joints, which includes tobacco as a filler.

You can purchase pure CBD joints in Holland, but you need to double check with the budtender that there’s no tobacco in the mix. Stateside, pre-rolled CBD joints are available in states where cannabis is legal, but there are some exceptions. For example, the state of Washington insists that cannabis flowers are sold pre-packaged and therefore pre-rolls are not available there legally.

Once you’ve done your due diligence and research and decided on the best pre-rolled CBD joints for you, you need to know how to store them for maximum freshness and shelf life. The best way to store pre-rolled joints is in a cool, dark place inside an airtight glass container.

Some folks put their pre-rolled joints into cigar tubes and the like, and these can also help to preserve freshness. It’s best to avoid storing your pre-rolls in plastic containers due to electrical charges ruining the bud inside. Also, bear in mind that pre-rolled CBD joints will go dry and a little stale if not stored correctly or if kept for a year or more.

If you’re interested in pre-rolled CBD joints, there are many reputable vendors online who sell them. Always make sure that you see third-party lab results from accredited labs before you make a purchase, to ensure the product is potent and safe. Also, make sure you choose a pre-roll with the right CBD concentration for you. Some CBD flower strains are stronger than others, and it’s worth checking this with the budtender before you buy.
