Some people stop drinking coffee in the evening. Others feel they have no choice but to take powerful prescription medications to get to sleep. Then, there’s CBD, a plant compound that has many people counting sheep as soon as their head hits the pillow.

Cannabis is usually associated with THC – the compound that offers all the psychedelic effects and gets you high and feeling carefree. While many THC users love that stoned, cerebral experience, many people out there don’t want to get high. Those people may have issues sleeping, and that’s where CBD hemp flowers for sleep come into play.

Thousands of people from around the world who have already discovered the fantastic health benefits of CBD use it for a variety of different reasons. For some people it’s used a type of rescue remedy, to give immediate relief during a panic attack or in the throws of an overly stressful situation. Others use it for pain, inflammation and to feel stress-free and calm. But there are those who swear by CBD for its sleep-inducing properties which for many are second-to-none.

Cannabis and CBD hemp flowers for sleep

Charlotte’s Web

Charlotte’s Web is likely the best known CBD strain after it rose to fame following the heart-wrenching story of Charlotte Figi –  a little girl suffering from Dravet Syndrome – a type of epilepsy. Her parents successfully treated her condition, improving it significantly, by using CBD derived from a specially cultivated strain. That strain was then named after her and has been one of the most popular CBD Flowers on the market ever since. Charlotte’s Web contains a 15-20 percent CBD profile, making one of the most potent CBD Flowers available and one that’s great for both daytime and nighttime use.

Cannatonic

Cannatonic is one of the first CBD-Dominant strains to have been cultivated and it’s wonderful for people who need to improve the quality of their sleep. The strain is 50 a percent Indica/50 percent Sativa strain with a CBD content of up to 17 percent – among the highest on the market. Cannatonic is used primarily by people who want to relax and feel stress-free. It also gives an intense body sensation which many people claim works wonders for their pain and inflammation issues. Cannatonic is fruity and delicious and can also be used to treat migraines, calm nausea and regulate stress disorders without the need for SSRI drugs.

ACDC

ACDC has an extremely low THC content but a very high CBD percentage. At a ratio of around 1:6, there are little-to-no psychedelic effects from this CBD Strain. Some harvests have seen yields of CBD Flowers with a 20 percent CBD content, aimed at CBD connoisseurs more than anyone else. ACDC is a cross between Ruderalis and Cannatonic genetics and is a 50/50 Indica/Sativa mix. As a winner of numerous Cannabis Cup awards due to its exceptionally high CBD content, this strain is much-loved and for good reasons.

Harlequin

Harlequin is a CBD-dominant strain which is Sativa-dominant and the result of many different landrace strains bred together. Including genetics from old school buds like Colombian Gold, Thai and Swiss Sativa, this one’s 75/25 Sativa-heavy. However, the high CBD content in this one prevents it from making the user feel an out of control cerebral high and offers calming and relaxing effects no matter what time of the day it’s used. Harlequin’s tight, dense buds are medium green with plenty of orange and red hairs among the nugs. White trichomes are also a feature of this one, and the smell and flavor of Harlequin are simply divine.

CBD Shark

CBD Shark is a CBD strain with a difference and is heavily Indica-dominant with hardly any Sativa genetics. This strain is very therapeutic and offers pain-killing properties as well as a body high. The interesting thing about this CBD strain is that it contains an equal ratio of CBD to THC. However, the actual CBD and THC content in this one is low, coming in at around 6-10 percent. CBD Shark is an excellent strain for beginners and those just getting into CBD. Although it does have some THC in the mix and that may not be ideal for everyone.

Whichever CBD hemp flowers you choose to help you sleep better, it’s a great idea to read detailed descriptions on Wikileaf. It’ also a good idea to read customer reviews from people who have tried the strain you’re interested, which you can do with a simple Google search.
