Relax with CBD Instead Of An alcoholic Drink

Relax with CBD
Written by Dr. Leah Zachar

The day is almost done, but your stress level is still high. How do you relax? A glass of wine, joint, cigarette, TV?
There is a much better way…

Alcohol is a beverage that’s widely accepted in society, but that does not mean it is either healthy or safe. Can CBD replace it, as a way for relaxation? Can you Relax with CBD?

So why do people drink?  People drink to relieve stress.  People drink because of peer pressure – people around them are drinking, so “why not”?  People drink to help them relax and have fun.  People drink to reduce their anxiety.

These are all harmless reasons.  However, the effects of alcohol use are far from harmless.  Alcohol results in difficulty walking, blurred vision, slurred speech, slowed reaction times, and impaired memory.  Heavy drinking may have extensive and far–reaching effects on the brain, ranging from simple “slips” in memory to permanent and debilitating conditions that require lifetime custodial care.

Women are more vulnerable than men to many of the harmful consequences of alcohol use because women lack an enzyme in the stomach that starts to break down alcohol before it is absorbed.  As a result of this, ounce for ounce, if a man and woman both drink exactly the same amount, more alcohol will enter the bloodstream of a woman, than a man.

This is the reason why women who abuse alcohol develop cirrhosis, alcohol-induced damage of the heart muscle (i.e. cardiomyopathy), and nerve damage (i.e. peripheral neuropathy) after fewer years of drinking than men.

If all of these concerns do not give one pause, then the remember that alcohol is liquid fat.  Alcohol has no protein or carbohydrate in its makeup – just pure liquid fat.  Alcohol is one of the highest caloric products around.

Relax with CBD

Instead of alcohol, you can relax with CBD

So, what is one to do to relieve stress, relax, and reduce his anxiety?

The answer is to relax with CBD.  You can vape CBD with friends, on vacation, or after work to “chill out”.  There is no of the risk of brain, heart, liver, or nerve damage, and no added calories to be concerned about.

Relax. Instead of alcohol, you can just vape CBD…

  • I’ve been conducting a little experiment about this over the last few months – everytime I feel like a drink I vape a little CBD bud and have a fruit juice instead. I’ve been surprised to find that it completely takes away the urge to drink – in fact my alcohol consumption has dropped to zero. It’s interesting how it leaves you clear headed and relaxed no matter how much of it you consume.
